Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective: 17 September 2026
Contact support@mastaprep.com for billing help. Business details are on the Contact page and in the Terms of Use.
Start with the free plan
You can use the features included in our free plan without providing a payment card. The free plan does not automatically become a paid subscription.
Your first subscription: a free trial
Your account’s first subscription starts with a 3-day free trial with full access. When you start it you provide a payment method, which is authorised but not charged. The first subscription payment is charged automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then. We show the exact end of the trial and the amount of the first charge before you start, in Settings → Plan and billing, and in the confirmation email, and we email a reminder the day before the trial ends.
To cancel during the trial, choose Cancel trial in Settings → Plan and billing, or contact us at support@mastaprep.com. A parent payer may use the secure management link in their email or contact support from their payer email. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged; your full access continues to the end of the trial, after which your account returns to the free plan with your learning progress kept.
The trial is available once per account, across monthly and yearly subscriptions. Cancelling it, letting it run, switching plans, or subscribing again later does not create another trial; a later subscription is charged from its start. A one-time card purchase does not include the trial and is charged at purchase. Some banks show a small temporary authorisation hold when a card is added; that is not a charge and is released by the bank.
After the trial
The trial is the time to decide. We do not provide discretionary change-of-mind refunds for the first charge, the current paid period or a renewal. Cancelling renewal keeps access available until the paid period ends and does not itself refund that period.
This rule does not remove rights required by applicable law. We will provide any legally required cancellation, refund or other remedy, including for defective or undelivered services, unauthorised charges or billing errors. Tell us promptly about a suspected duplicate charge, a charge made after a timely cancellation, or a charge taken after you cancelled during the trial.
Cancelling automatic renewal
Plans paid by subscription renew automatically at the interval disclosed before payment. A one-time card purchase does not renew: access ends on the date shown in Settings unless you buy again. To stop a subscription’s renewal, choose Cancel renewal in Settings → Plan and billing (during the free trial the control is Cancel trial) or use the parent’s secure billing-management process (Manage my payment). You may also contact support for assistance. Cancel before the displayed renewal time to avoid the next scheduled charge.
We confirm cancellation and tell you when paid access ends. Cancellation does not delete your account or learning progress. If you do not receive confirmation, contact support; we will investigate a timely request and correct charges caused by our failure to process it. Logging out or stopping use is not cancellation.
When you request account deletion, we also stop future renewal. Deletion has a separate timetable explained in our Privacy Notice. Do not delete account information needed to resolve a billing issue before saving your payment reference.
Refund processing
This section covers refunds we owe under applicable law or for our own error. We confirm receipt of your request and explain its outcome. We check qualifying requests and we’ll try to initiate the refund within 7 calendar days of receiving the request, or sooner where required by law, and confirm the refund reference. We return funds to the original payment method; we do not ask you to pay a fee to receive a refund. Once initiated, arrival depends on the bank or payment provider; we will assist with delays and meet any applicable legal repayment deadline.
Any currency-conversion difference or separate fee imposed by your bank is controlled by that bank, subject to your applicable rights. We do not deduct our payment-processing fee from a refund we owe you.
