For parents
MastaPrep gives students aged 14+ a place to practice, review explanations and work on earlier mistakes. A free plan is available without a card.
Your student can send you a payment link. Before you pay, you’ll see the student nickname, chosen plan, amount, billing currency and renewal details. Check that they are correct. The subscription is added to the student’s account and your receipt is sent to your email.
Subscriptions renew. Monthly and yearly plans automatically renew until cancelled. The receipt explains how you can manage billing without the student’s password — or use Manage my payment with the email you paid with.
The free trial. A student’s first subscription starts with a 3-day free trial with full access. Your card is authorised at sign-up and nothing is charged until the trial ends; cancel before then from Settings (or your payment-management link) and you are never charged. Once per account across plans. There are no change-of-mind refunds after the trial; mandatory consumer rights remain available.
Students can share a private, read-only progress page with a parent. It shows the projected score band and target, days practiced each week, lessons, questions answered, accuracy and full practice tests, and it updates after every lesson. A short summary is emailed every Sunday. It never shows the questions, answers or wrong choices.
To turn it on, the student opens Settings → Share progress with a parent, enters your email and taps Send the link. You need no account. The student can stop sharing at any time, and every link stops working at once. If you also pay for the plan, your payment management page gets a See progress button while sharing is on.
For an under-18 student, guardian authorisation is separate from payment. We explain what information is used and what a verified parent or guardian may access. Paying does not make the student’s records public. Optional social participation is private by default.
Results. Practice estimates are MastaPrep’s own feedback. They are not official exam scores or guaranteed improvements.
