SAT in Singapore 2026–27: Fees, Dates, Test-Center Charges, ID, and Bluebook
Complete SAT Singapore guide for 2026–27: $111 international base fee, select $24 test-center charges, dates, ID rules, Bluebook, score releases, registration timing, and planning.
If you are taking the SAT in Singapore in 2026–27, the academic test is the same digital SAT used around the world.
The main Singapore-specific issue to watch is test-center cost.
College Board currently lists several Singapore centers that are known to charge an additional $24 test-center fee for August 2026 through June 2027.
That means a Singapore student should not assume the international base fee is always the final registration total.
The practical checklist is:
- current international base fee: $68 + $43 = $111;
- some Singapore centers may add a $24 test-center fee;
- 2026–27 Weekend dates are the global SAT dates;
- SAT registration deadlines are stated in U.S. Eastern Time, not Singapore time;
- use the live College Board center search because center availability can change by date;
- Singapore is not currently listed by College Board as a country with its own special ID subsection, so the general SAT ID rules apply unless you are testing outside your home country;
- if you travel to Singapore from another home country to test, College Board's outside-home-country rule requires a valid passport, with the stated DoW CAC exception.
For the broader international framework, see SAT for International Students.

How much does the SAT cost in Singapore?
College Board's current international pricing is:
- SAT registration: $68;
- international fee: $43.
Base:
But Singapore has a local complication:
some test centers are known to charge an additional $24 test-center fee.
If your selected center is one of those locations, the test-center portion can raise the registration total.
For the general fee structure, see SAT Fees and Cost.
Which Singapore centers are currently known to charge the extra fee?
At the time this article was reviewed, College Board's published August 2026–June 2027 list included:
- Employment & Employability Institute — center code 75158;
- Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) — 75141;
- Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) — 75697;
- PSB Academy City Campus — 75152.
College Board tells students to contact the test center for the latest information.
That list should therefore be treated as a current reference, not a permanent promise about:
- availability;
- exact administration dates;
- open seats;
- future fee status.
Your live registration screen is the most useful source for the date you actually want.
Does every SAT center in Singapore charge $24?
No.
College Board describes the $24 charge as a test center fee at select locations only.
Do not assume:
SAT in Singapore = $111 + $24 everywhere.
The correct question is:
Does the specific center I select for this administration charge the fee?
Check during registration and use College Board's current known-center list.
Additional SAT fees can still apply
Beyond the base and any select-center fee, College Board currently charges for some actions/services, such as:
- late registration;
- changing test center;
- cancellation;
- late cancellation;
- additional score reports.
Avoidable changes can significantly increase the cost of international testing.
Register early enough that you are choosing, not scrambling.
SAT Weekend dates in Singapore
The 2026–27 Weekend dates apply to U.S. and international students:
| Test date | Current regular registration deadline |
|---|---|
| Aug. 22, 2026 | Aug. 7, 2026 |
| Sep. 12, 2026 | Aug. 28, 2026 |
| Oct. 3, 2026 | Sep. 18, 2026 |
| Nov. 7, 2026 | Oct. 23, 2026 |

See SAT Test Dates 2026–27 for the broader calendar.
Singapore students should notice the time zone on deadlines
College Board says SAT Weekend registration deadlines expire at:
11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.
That is not 11:59 p.m. Singapore time.
The U.S. Eastern offset also changes with daylight saving time.
So do not memorize one fixed conversion.
A safe rule is:
register at least one Singapore calendar day early
That removes the risk of confusing ET with SGT when the deadline is close.
Should you register early in Singapore?
Yes if the date matters.
Reasons include:
- the center you prefer may not be available for every administration;
- seats can fill;
- some centers have different fee treatment;
- your school calendar may make only one or two dates practical;
- U.S. university deadlines may make October/November timing important.
Earlier registration gives you more center choice.
How do you find an SAT center in Singapore?
Use College Board's current test-center search during registration.
Do not rely solely on a static third-party list.
Test-center availability is administration-specific.
Workflow:
- sign in to your College Board account;
- select the SAT administration;
- search Singapore locations;
- compare currently available centers;
- note any test-center fee;
- register.
A listed institution is not a guarantee that it has space for your chosen date.
SAT ID requirements in Singapore
College Board currently has special country-specific ID sections for several countries, but Singapore is not listed as one of those special-country entries on the current ID page.
That means students testing in their home country should follow the general SAT ID requirements.
The ID must meet College Board's current standards, including being:
- valid and unexpired;
- physical, not electronic;
- an original document;
- acceptable government- or school-issued photo identification under the general rules;
- in good condition;
- matched to the full legal name on the admission ticket;
- accompanied by a recognizable current photograph.
A passport that meets the requirements is a clear general example College Board accepts.
Because ID rules can cause test-day denial, check the official ID page again shortly before your exam rather than assuming a particular local card qualifies.
If Singapore is not your home country
College Board has a stronger rule for students who travel to another country to test.
If you are testing outside your home country, you must use a valid passport as your ID, except for the stated U.S. DoW CAC exception.
Example:
Your home country is Indonesia, but you travel to Singapore to take the SAT.
Do not assume your normal Indonesian school or national ID will be accepted under the Singapore general rules.
The outside-home-country passport rule applies.
Make the name match
Your admission ticket and accepted ID must match.
If your registration name differs from your legal identification, resolve it before test day.
Do not expect the center to decide that:
"The names are basically the same."
College Board's ID policy puts responsibility on the student to meet the requirements.
Bluebook: SAT Singapore is digital
SAT Weekend uses Bluebook.
Before test day:
- install Bluebook;
- run the supported-device checks;
- complete exam setup when it becomes available;
- obtain your admission ticket;
- charge the device fully;
- pack a charging cable;
- check current Bluebook alerts.
For the full test format, see Digital SAT 2026–27 Guide.
Device borrowing requires earlier planning
If you do not have a compatible device, College Board has a device-lending process.
Current College Board guidance requires the device request at least 30 days before test day.
That can matter more than the normal registration deadline.
If you may need a loaned device, treat the 30-day requirement as your real planning deadline.
What should you bring?
Follow College Board's live test-day checklist.
Typical essentials include:
- acceptable physical photo ID;
- admission ticket;
- Bluebook-ready testing device;
- charger;
- pen or pencil;
- approved handheld calculator if you want one.
Testing staff provide scratch paper.
Do calculator rules change in Singapore?
No special Singapore calculator rules apply just because you test there.
Bluebook includes the embedded Desmos calculator for Math, and an approved handheld calculator may also be used.
Practice with the tool you expect to use.
Standard SAT structure
Reading and Writing
- 54 questions;
- 64 minutes;
- two 32-minute modules.
Math
- 44 questions;
- 70 minutes;
- two 35-minute modules.
The standard test is multistage adaptive.
The Singapore administration does not use a different academic SAT format.
Current Fall 2026 score releases
College Board currently lists:
| Weekend test date | Student score release |
|---|---|
| Aug. 22 | Sep. 4 |
| Sep. 12 | Sep. 25 |
| Oct. 3 | Oct. 16 |
| Nov. 7 | Nov. 20 |
| Dec. 5 | Dec. 18 |
These dates matter if you are testing for:
- Early Action;
- Early Decision;
- scholarship deadlines;
- application score updates.
Do not choose an SAT date based only on the exam date.
Work backward from when the score is released and when your university will accept it.
Applying to U.S. universities from Singapore
The testing logistics are Singapore-specific.
The admissions decision is college-specific.
For every target U.S. university, verify:
- current testing policy;
- whether scores are required or optional;
- superscoring;
- self-reporting;
- last accepted testing date;
- official score-report requirement.
Do not assume an October SAT is automatically acceptable for every November application deadline.
Sending scores from Singapore
Score sending works through College Board.
Before paying for score reports, check whether the university:
- allows self-reporting;
- requires official scores at application;
- wants official scores only after enrollment;
- superscores;
- requires all scores.
See SAT Score Choice and Sending Scores.
International-school students should coordinate calendars
Singapore students often attend schools with demanding:
- IB;
- A-Level;
- AP;
- internal examination;
- extracurricular
schedules.
Choose an SAT date that leaves space for actual preparation.
The nearest test date is not automatically the best date.
A score generated during a week packed with school exams may be less useful than testing one administration earlier or later.
A practical Singapore testing timeline
Suppose you are targeting U.S. early applications in late 2026.
June–July
- diagnostic;
- identify weak domains;
- confirm device and ID.
August or September
- first official test if ready.
After score release
- review;
- decide whether October is needed.
October 3
- potential retake;
- score release October 16.
Late October
- complete early-round score decision.
This is a planning framework, not a promise that every college accepts the same score date.
Common SAT Singapore mistakes
Mistake 1: assuming the $111 base fee is always the total
Some currently listed Singapore centers charge an additional $24 center fee.
Mistake 2: assuming all centers charge $24
The fee applies only at select centers.
Mistake 3: using a static center list as an availability guarantee
Use the live registration system.
Mistake 4: waiting until 11:59 p.m. Singapore time on the deadline date
College Board deadlines use U.S. Eastern Time.
Mistake 5: using a digital ID without checking the rule
College Board's general ID rules require an original physical ID.
Mistake 6: traveling from another country without a passport
Testing outside your home country triggers the passport rule.
Mistake 7: leaving device lending until registration week
Current device requests require at least 30 days of lead time.
Mistake 8: assuming international testing changes the SAT itself
The academic test remains the standard digital SAT.
Singapore cost-planning example
Suppose you select a center that is currently on College Board's known $24-fee list.
Base international charge:
Test-center fee:
Potential registration subtotal:
before any other optional/additional service fees or payment-provider currency effects.
If your center does not charge the additional center fee, the College Board base remains $111 before other applicable charges.
This is why center selection matters.

Final takeaway
For Singapore, the SAT itself is standard.
The local planning detail that deserves special attention is cost:
Then protect the basics:
- register early;
- treat ET deadlines carefully;
- verify your physical ID;
- confirm live test-center availability;
- test your Bluebook device;
- work backward from score-release and application dates.
Check College Board again near registration because center-fee lists, availability, and operational rules can change.
Picking a center when the search shows you several
Much of the Singapore-specific thinking happens on a single screen: the center search during registration. A few judgment calls come up again and again there.
If two centers are open and one is on the known select-center fee list, don't simply pick the cheaper one. Weigh the total cost, the journey and the arrival time together. Saving the fee is not worth much if it means a long, stressful journey on test morning.
If your preferred center isn't offered for your date, look at whether another date works before you settle for a center that's hard to reach. And if the center you want shows no seats, don't wait and hope one opens. Choose another center or date now, while your deadline is still safe.
If you can't tell whether a center charges the extra fee, check the amount shown during registration against College Board's current list before you pay. Finally, if you're half-planning to switch centers later, remember that changing test center is one of the actions College Board can charge for, so it's worth making the decision properly the first time.
Decide these before you open the registration page
It's much calmer to register when the decisions are already made. Have an answer to each of these first:
- your first-choice and backup test dates;
- the deadline for each, in U.S. Eastern Time;
- the day you'll actually register (at least one Singapore day early);
- your first-choice and backup centers, and whether either charges the select-center fee;
- whether Singapore is your home country (if not, you'll need a passport);
- whether the name on your account matches your ID exactly;
- whether your device has passed the Bluebook check, or your loan request is in 30 or more days ahead;
- which school exam weeks you need to avoid.
If you're comparing how the SAT works elsewhere in Asia, the SAT in India guide shows how a country with its own ID rules and discount program differs from the general rules that apply in Singapore.
